pre-Schoolers

ToddlerTwo years through five years old

This is a fun and active stage in your children’s lives.  We are excited to have them in KidPointe pre-school and look forward to teaching them that God loves them, God made them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever. Our teaching plan begins in our toddler classrooms.  All activities are age-appropriate with plenty of flexibility for the normal needs of 2-5 year olds. Our two and three year olds will participate in many age-appropriate and creative activities throughout the morning. We believe in an active, hands-on approach with our kids, so be on the lookout for those fun projects!

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring?

Be sure to bring extra diapers and a change of clothes. Label all items, including cups, snacks, diapers, pacifiers, etc.

If your children are potty training, please be sure to communicate that to the teacher. We ask that they wear pull-ups to the classrooms.

Will my child get a snack?

We provide snacks in the classrooms. We usually serve Goldfish and/or Cheerios.  If we are serving something else, you will find a note posted on the door outside of your child’s classroom informing you of the new food item. If your children have any allergies or special dietary needs and cannot eat what we have provided, please inform the teachers and bring appropriate snacks for them.

What if my child needs to use the bathroom?

If a child needs to use the bathroom in age 2 through 5, a same-sex adult will escort them to the bathroom.  The adult checks the bathroom to make sure it is empty before the child enters and then stands outside the door to make sure that no one enters the bathroom while the child is there and offer assistance if needed.  If assistance is needed, the adult asks another adult to accompany him or her to the bathroom in order to uphold our ‘two adult rule’.
An adult checks the bathroom to make sure it is empty before the child enters and then stay outside the door to make sure that no one enters the bathroom while the child is there.

How do I check my child in?

Once you enter the Kid Pointe room, you will see a registration desk with volunteers ready to assist you. For your child's safety, we ask that you would fill out a registration card with detailed information. Once you are finished, you and your child will receive an ID sticker name tag. You WILL need the ID sticker to pick up your child from his/her classroom after service.

What if I lose my ID  sticker during the service?

You will need to go to the Kid Pointe Welcome Center to verify the name of you and your child’s name.

What is your wellness policy?

We ask that sick children not attend Kid Pointe in order to ensure the health of children and staff. The Committee on Control of Infectious Diseases of the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that a child should not leave home when any of the following symptoms exist:

  • Fever (over 100.5 degrees).
  • Vomiting or diarrhea within the last 24 hours.
  • Any symptom of childhood diseases such as scarlet fever, measles, mumps, chicken pox or whooping cough.
  • Common cold - from onset through one week.
  • Sore throat.
  • Croup.
  • Any unexplained rash.
  • Any skin infection--boils, ringworm or impetigo.
  • Untreated pink eye or other eye infection.
  • Any communicable disease.
  • Lice, including the presence of eggs or nits.

These are the guidelines that we follow and we expect that a child or volunteer be free of fever for 24 hours before coming back to Kid Pointe.  We do not dispense any medication to a child.
