Nursery
Welcome t0 Kid Pointe Nursery!
We know that leaving your little children with others can be overwhelming. The volunteers in our infant classroom have been chosen for this age group because of their love for babies and their training to care for all of the needs of your infant. We want to help you and your baby have a great experience on Sunday morning.
Frequently Asked Questions
What do I bring?
Please bring diapers, bottles, pacifiers, and any special blankets that will soothe your baby through the morning.
Label all items that belong to your baby.
Please fill out the sign-in sheet located outside your baby’s classroom with any details concerning feeding and napping schedules.
To ensure that your babies receive the best care, we adhere to a one volunteer to every three children ratio in our infant and crawler classrooms.
In case of emergency, how do you reach parents/guardians during the service?
For ages zero through two years old, each parent will get a pager assigned to them. If there is an emergency, we will page you to come to assist or pick up your child.
How do I check in my child?
Once you enter the Kid Pointe room, you will see a registration desk with volunteers ready to assist you. For your child's safety, we ask that you fill out a registration card with detailed information. Once you are finished, you and your child will receive an ID sticker name tag. You WILL need the ID sticker to pick up your child from his/her classroom after service.
What if I lose my ID sticker during the service?
You will need to go to the Kid Pointe Welcome Center to verify you name and your child’s name.
What is your wellness policy?
We ask that sick children not attend Kid Pointe in order to ensure the health of children and staff. The Committee on Control of Infectious Diseases of the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that a child should not leave home when any of the following symptoms exist:
1. Fever (over 100.5 degrees).
2. Vomiting or diarrhea within the last 24 hours.
3. Any symptom of childhood diseases such as scarlet fever, measles, mumps, chicken pox or whooping cough.
4. Common cold--from onset through one week.
5. Sore throat.
6. Croup.
7. Any unexplained rash.
8. Any skin infection--boils, ringworm or impetigo.
9. Untreated pink eye or other eye infection.
10. Any communicable disease.
11. Lice, including the presence of eggs or nits.
These are the guidelines that we follow and we expect that a child or volunteer be free of fever for 24 hours before coming back to Kid Pointe. We do not dispense any medication to a child. If a child appears to be ill, we will notify the parent immediately.
